Since the start of the 2020/21 winter season, we have been responsible for the tourism region's media work Engstligenalp in the Bernese Oberland. As an external media office, we support the plateau with our PR expertise. Whether Content productions(individual) media trips, marketing consulting, Social Media or all communications relating to current events on Europe's largest high plateau - the Alpine experience offers a wealth of potential for creative ideas and stories.
Media relations for the Engstligenalp tourist region
From the start to the end of the season: We take care of all aspects of the Engstligenalp in terms of Media relations. New culinary highlights at the mountain hotel, exciting new winter activities or new measures due to the coronavirus? Whenever there is something exciting to communicate, we help Engstligenalp to get the message across in the media. In this way, we ensure consistent communication around the season's highlights. Through continuous reporting and the creation of individual media stories, we increase awareness of the region.
Every year, new spectacular themed worlds adorn the walls of the fondue igloos on the Engstligenalp.
Media trip "Icy world of experience"
Just in time for the start of the season, the particularly popular fondue igloos open on Engstligenalp - a truly unique and icy experience. To mark the opening of the igloo village in winter 2020/21, we invited selected media to introduce them to the season highlight and present the destination at a Media trip to discover. Under the motto "Immerse yourself in the icy adventure world of Engstligenalp", the program included a cosy fondue in a snow igloo as well as sporting action with ice climbing or cross-country skiing, including an overnight stay in a mountain hotel.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus put a spanner in the works. So we changed the group media trip without further ado and invited the media to Engstligenalp individually. Fancy your own adventure on the icy adventure alp? Click here for the experience reports from View and Nau.
Not only journalists were allowed to try out ice climbing on the Engstligenalp: The person in the turquoise jacket on the ice wall is our Céline.
Royal content production
Whether winter or summer - we are always coming up with new ideas for the tourist destinations among our customers. We also like to rely on Content productions with famous personalities. But a name alone is not enough, the campaign itself must surprise and arouse the interest of the media.
So we created one for the Engstligenalp PR stunt with a real king - the Swiss wrestling king Christian "Chrigu" Stucki. For once, we staged the tall and heavy top athlete not in summer in the sawdust, but in winter. Stucki tried out sports that were unusual for him: Cross-country skiing with his wife Cécile and snow tubing with his two sons.
Unique footage that the media didn't want to miss. In addition to the regional media dedicated, among others, the Swiss Illustratedthe View and also the Glückspost Stucki several pages - including the front page of the Glückspost.
A royal - and funny - content production with wrestling king Christian Stucki and his family on the Engstligenalp.
Silent Night" marketing campaign
The coronavirus was an issue throughout the 2020/21 winter season and did not exactly make the situation easy for Swiss tourism regions. In mid-March, Engstligenalp set itself the goal of boosting bookings during the week with a marketing campaign entitled "Silent Night". The exceptional situation caused by the coronavirus offered the perfect opportunity to create a "Silent night" on the Engstligenalp. Far away from the noise and very close to the stars, moments of peace await you alone or as a couple.
Part of the "Silent Night" offer was an exciting program, both during the day and at night. Guests enjoyed included ski and cross-country ski passes, torch-lit hikes by moonlight and desserts flambéed over fire bowls. We supported Engstligenalp in creating the storyline for the "Silent Night" campaign and in producing the program.
To gain additional attention for the packages, we supported the campaign with PR measures. As part of the media work, we invited selected media and influencers to experience the unique offer on site. On top of this, we also took care of the Social Media Engstligenalp channels. We provided our followers with inspiring content several times a week.

Photo and video production Alpaufzug
During the 2021 summer season, we were also able to use Engstligenalp for the Media relations support and a very special Photo and video production for the plateau's social media channels: Early on Monday morning, June 28, 2021, the tinkling of hundreds of bells could be heard in Adelboden, announcing what was probably the most spectacular alpine procession in Switzerland. At five o'clock, around 500 cows, cattle and calves with their herdsmen began the steep and rocky ascent over 600 meters in altitude to the most beautiful high plateau in Switzerland, the Engstligenalp. Also on board: our content team, which diligently produced photo and video content and used this to document the Social Media channels of the Engstligenalp.
As only a small audience was allowed on site due to the coronavirus, we invited selected national and regional media to be part of the spectacle as part of our media work. We provided all those who could not be there live with specially produced photo and video material. The result: almost 30 articles in national and regional print and online media such as the Berner Zeitung20 Minuten Bern or the Landfreund and the Travel & Lifestyle Blog.
