Monotonous press events, dusty lecterns and incomprehensible presentations - what may still work for political information events and board meetings has long been a thing of the past in the corporate sector! More and more companies are turning to interactively designed events that offer an emotional experience - and so are we at FBC. Here we reveal five tips that will refresh your event management skills and are guaranteed to make your event stick in the minds of visitors.

1. small talk instead of speeches

Smartphones are pulled out, heads are lowered, attention levels leave a lot to be desired: this is exactly what happens during long presentations, accompanied by incomprehensible buzzwords and overloaded PowerPoint presentations. We recommend: Small talk instead of speeches! Thanks to the interaction between the moderator and the protagonists, the entertainment factor increases and exciting statements can be addressed directly. This has a much more natural effect and the audience remains attentive.

2. get creative with the location search

The location is literally half the battle for a successful event. If you want to inspire your visitors, it's a good idea to choose unused, surprising spaces. An old factory building, a cool loft with a panoramic terrace or a mountain peak 3,000 meters above sea level can be the perfect venue. The important thing is that the location matches the event theme and is designed accordingly.

3. cool entertainment and unusual decoration

Creative competitions that go beyond the classic wheel of fortune, photobooths with branded backgrounds, eye-catching walking acts or colorful shows - the possibilities for surprising guests are endless. Thematically dressed protagonists and employees not only become a photo subject for guests, but also arouse emotions and are remembered. You should definitely get creative and try something new. Brainstorming sessions with the entire team can help to achieve success here.

In addition to entertainment, decoration plays a major role in successful event event management. This should have a common thread and, if possible, be CI/CD-compliant. But beware: rooms that are too cluttered can quickly appear tasteless and distract from the actual focus. Convincing event decoration is therefore a balancing act!

4. produce photo and video content

If you can't attend the event, you should at least hear about how good it was! This is precisely why it is essential to capture the event in photographs. Even better: a convincing event video, ideally with enthusiastic visitor testimonials and exciting statements from the protagonists. It is also important to stage the one or other perfect scene if it doesn't come naturally. If you have attractive image and film material this should be sent to media not present after the event. Then something like the logo launch of our client can happen Corvatsch. But the guests present are also happy to share great image material, which is why it is essential to provide the guests with a link to the image material after the event.

5. themed catering

It is always underestimated: the catering. Yet it is just as important as the event itself - after all, the way to a person's heart is through their stomach. At least since the first flight events for our client Edelweiss we can confirm that a thematically appropriate food concept additionally underlines the feeling to be conveyed at the event. On those occasions, we adapted to the destination we were flying to and served specialties from Sri Lanka or Argentina. The guests were delighted.
