Event: Women Parking Challenge

In March 2011, Hertz wanted an event that would draw public attention to the Hertz range and give the brand a positive, appealing image, so we created the first Swiss "Women Parking Challenge" and carried it out in Bern. In addition to the concept, we were also responsible for all PR measures and the Event management responsible. The feedback from the event was so positive that we repeated the event in 2012 and 2013 in front of the Sihlcity shopping center in Zurich. The participants had to steer a Mercedes-Benz SLK Cabrio backwards into a parking space between two Hertz delivery vans. The most accurate and fastest "parker" was allowed to rent the convertible free of charge for the entire spring and summer. The successful Swiss motorcycle racer and Hertz ambassador Tom Lüthi judged the participants together with other prominent jury members. We sought out the participants for the challenge in advance via media appeals. Thanks to regional and national media coverage, Hertz was able to raise its profile throughout German-speaking Switzerland. The challenge was even reported on abroad. The idea and implementation of this project also took second place at the European Excellence Awards 2012.

Guerilla Marketing: Crazy Camping

In the summer of 2014 and 2015, we organized "Hertz Crazy Camping" in collaboration with various Swiss festivals, where you could spend the night in a Hertz van instead of a tent. With the PR idea we reached a younger target audience and were present throughout the entire open-air summer. In the run-up to the campaign, we organized a competition, which we publicized via the media. Applicants could win one of the vans for a festival weekend and travel to the festival in comfort. On site, the vans formed their own Crazy Camping "city". But that's not all: with Bachelor Vujo Gavric and the newlyweds Rafael Beutl and Mirjam Jäger, we sent popular and prominent "Crazy Campers" to the festival in both years. We also staged additional image material with the prominent faces and arranged media interviews on site. In this way, we achieved national coverage of the competition and the campaign, media presence at the festivals and a positive image transfer among the younger target group.

Tom Lüthi's Grand Tour to Ticino

Hertz became a new partner of the Grand Tour Switzerland in 2016 and wanted to publicize the cooperation with a media story. We organized and documented an action-packed day in Ticino with Hertz testimonials Tom Lüthi and Dominique Aegerter to announce the new partnership. We sent the two Swiss motorcycle racers on the Grand Tour route in Ticino in a Hertz rental vehicle. There they sought out the thrill of canyoning and bungee jumping. We accompanied the entire action and captured exciting Content producedwhich we successfully placed in the media.

100 years anniversary

The long-established car rental company Hertz celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018. To mark this anniversary, we had the pleasure of organizing and moderating an event for all employees and presenting it using Content production in a video. The aim was to give employees an entertaining and eventful experience. Event to offer. This was also intended to portray the various Hertz stations and the teams. The centerpiece of the multimedia event was a short film. For this, we visited various Hertz stations in advance, met interesting people and recorded curiosities about everyday life at Hertz. What actually makes Hertz the best car rental company in Switzerland? We were able to answer this question at the anniversary event in Grindelwald: the employees.

Air Zermatt cooperation

Another Hertz project is called "Hertz becomes the valley station: the fastest ski lift in Switzerland" and is a cooperation with Air Zermatt and Volvo. The exclusive ski day package can be booked from anywhere in Switzerland. The starting point is any Hertz station. You drive to the Air Zermatt base in Raron in Valais in a Volvo XC90 SUV. Once the car has been parked and the ski equipment and ski pass have been collected, the Air Zermatt helicopter takes off in the direction of the Matterhorn. It then lands directly in the ski area on Testa Grigia. So the skiing fun can begin in no time at all! For this unique collaboration, we invited media from German-speaking Switzerland, French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino on a media trip to Zermatt. The journalists were provided with a rental car at the nearest Hertz station to their place of residence, which they used to drive to Zermatt. There they tested the fastest ski lift in Switzerland together with us. We also produced a Image video - naturally with a lot of Storytelling.


Media relations: Hertz MyWeekend

The year 2020: full of changes and new paths! Our customer Hertz has also thought about this and launched a campaign that offers inspiration for the most beautiful detours in Switzerland. As part of MyWeekend, Hertz has taken Swiss celebrities such as Tom Lüthi, René Schudel and Co. on their journey into the countryside. In this way, they found out where and how celebrities spend their weekends and vacations. The result is exclusive insights into the private favorite places of Swiss celebrities and background stories about their most beautiful detours. We took care of the Media relations around this unique campaign. And of course we were also inspired by the most beautiful detours in Switzerland to take a detour or two.
